Earlier this month,Agent Carterfans received the bad news that ABC has not picked up the show for a third season. To make matters even worse, we learned in last month’s blockbusterCaptain America: Civil Warthat Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) has died, with a mourning Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) serving as a pall bearer at her funeral. WhileCaptain America: Civil Warwas beloved by fans and critics alike,Hayley Atwellrecently revealed how much she didn’t like at least one aspect of this superhero movie.

Towards the middle ofCaptain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter, a.k.a.Agent 13(Emily VanCamp), Peggy’s niece, finally kissed. We first met Agent 13 in 2014’sCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, posing as Steve Rogers' neighbor as an undercover operative for S.H.I.E.L.D., before Cap ultimately learned the truth about her work.Hayley Atwellattended Dallas Comic Con over the weekend, where she toldIGNhow much she didn’t like that kiss between Steve and Sharon, and how Peggy would have actually felt about.

“Well, first of all she’d be turning over in her grave. She’d be like ‘no.’ And she’d inject herself with the blue serum and become a super villain. She’d break out of her coffin and ground [Sharon]. She’d ground her. Then she’d kick Steve’s ass as well. I just feel that, you know - I wouldn’t want to date my great aunt’s guy. It just feels like it crosses an incestuous boundary. And Peggy just died. That’s even more disrespectful, right? It’s like, ‘don’t touch that. You can’t tap that!'”

What’s interesting isSteve Rogersdidn’t even know Sharon was related toPeggy Carteruntil she gave the eulogy at Peggy’s funeral inCaptain America: Civil War. After their kiss, we didn’t see any more from Steve and Sharon, and it’s unclear if future movies likeAvengers 3andAvengers 4will show their relationship progressing. After all, both Cap and Agent 13 will be quite busy dealing with the nefarious Thanos and his quest to retrieve the Infinity Stones.

Avengers 3andAvengers 4will startshooting back-to-backthis November, over what has been reported to be a massive nine-month shoot.Avengers 3will hit theaters on August 03, 2025, withAvengers 4arriving on July 31, 2025, closing out Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
