Now thatAhsokahas concluded its first season,Star Warsfans around the world have endless praise for show creator Dave Finoli for bringing the iconicClone Warscharacters to life, along with introducing some of the best new characters in the universe.

Despite answering quite a few questions throughout the show, the finale has left us with some questions that we can’t wait to answer in the upcomingStar Warsprojects. Let’s take a look at the 10 main questions we have now that Season 1 has finished.

Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll in the Star Wars series Ahsoka

10Who Was Baylan Skoll’s Master?

One of the new characters in the show that took the fandom by storm isDark Jedi Baylan Skoll, expertly portrayed by the late Ray Stevenson. As soon as we met the character in the opening scene of the show, there was so much mystery surrounding the character, meaning that he couldn’t help but be a highlight of the show. Baylan’s past was touched on during his first Duel with Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) as he knew that Anakin became Darth Vader, with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) recognizing him as General Baylan Skoll of the Jedi Order during their first meeting on Peridia.

It was clear from the get-go that Baylan was immensely strong, regarding both his force abilities and lightsaber training. Knowing that he was a General in the Jedi order, the strength that led him to defeat Ahsoka makes the question of who was his master so much more intriguing. After all, a padawan’s master is a key element in how effective of a force user they are.

Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka (2023)

There are currently some great theories circulating on who his master was, such as Jedi master Plo-Koon, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. With Baylan Likely to be recast in the future, his backstory is hopefully something that’s further explored.

9Is This the Last We’ve Seen of Anakin?

Without a doubt, one of the highlights ofAhsokais the triumphant return ofHayden Christensen as the beloved Anakin Skywalker. Appearing at the end of Episode 4 in the World Between Worlds, Christensen re-confirmed why he’s the perfect actor to embody the role of the chosen one.

Leading the fifth episode completing Ahsoka’s training, the very last shot of the last episode was Anakin’s force ghost watching over Ahsoka as returns to Peridia after Thrawn’s escape. With Anakin being such an important figure for a character who is sure to be a key element in the franchise moving forward, whether Anakin will appear again to continue to watch over Ahsoka is something we truly hope to see. With his son Luke now back on theStar Warsscene, fans have been loving the idea of Anakin’s force ghost interacting with Luke.

Shin Hati in Ahsoka (2023)

8What Does Shin Hati’s Future Look Like?

Another character who hit the ground running isBaylan Skoll’s young apprentice, Shin Hati(Ivanna Sakhno). At the beginning of the show, Shin is very much by the side of her master on the quest to find Thrawn in the distant galaxy. However, towards the end of the show, Shin finds herself finding her path, with Baylan turning his full attention to what has been calling to him on the mysterious planet of Peridia.

Star Wars: How Do The Mandalorian, Ahsoka and Dave Filoni’s Movie Connect to the Sequel Trilogy?

There may be 20 years between the events of Ahsoka and The Force Awakens, but the Star Wars franchise is working to tie these stories together.

Although we didn’t see much of Shin in the last episode, we did get a moment of her raising her blood-orange lightsaber to the bandits on the planet, seemingly signaling that she wishes to align with them after she’s left stranded on the planet. With Ahsoka, Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), and Baylan also still on Peridia, whatever Shin has planned with the bandits is sure to be explored in upcoming projects.

Ahsoka and Luke watch Grogu during his Jedi training.

Many fans believe that now Shin is no longer with Baylan and seems to lack direction, she may join forces with Ahsoka and Sabine in the next season of the show.

7What are the Contents of the Cargo Transfer?

After the arrival of Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), Baylan, Shin, and Sabine to Peridia,Thrawn soon joins the four alongside the Great Mothersat the mysterious temple aboard his war-torn Star Destroyer, the Chimaera. As soon as Thrawn greets the people who finally found him after being exiled for so long, he soon begins a cargo transfer of hundreds, if not thousands of crates from the temple to the Chimaera.

Seemingly a deal with the Great Mothers as they join Thrawn as they escape Peridia with Thrawn, the main theory is that the crates all contain the bodies of Night Sisters. If true, the threat of Thrawn fulfilling his role as the Heir to the Empire becomes all the more real with the power of Dark Magick on his side. Although the cargo could be something else, fans are pretty confident that Night Sisters are in the containers due to them strongly resembling a coffin shape.

6What Will Hera and Ezra’s Next Move Be?

Despite Ahsoka, Sabine, and their droid Huyang (voiced by David Tennant) still being stuck on Peridia, Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) managed to return home after being force-pushed onto the Chimaera by Sabine. With Ezra knowing that Thrawn has returned to the galaxy, he alongside General Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is sure to spring into action to try and stop Thrawn’s rise to power.

The main question regarding the two reunited allies is whether they’ll focus their attention on Thrawn or find a way to bring Ahsoka and Sabine back home. Knowing the two, it’s pretty likely that they’ll put as much focus on both of them, putting their famous teamwork on display after so long to attempt to save the galaxy from Thrawn once again. With so many different possibilities and characters to turn to for help, the direction they decide to take excites the whole fandom.

5Will Dathomir Become Thrawn’s Main Base?

After finally escaping Peridia by connecting the Chimaera to the Eye of Sion (the hyperspace transport ring that brought the group to the planet), Thrawn and the Great Mothers approach the planet of Dathomir, to the elation of the Mothers. With Thrawn now having such a strong bond with the immensely powerful Mothers, it’s not far-fetched to say that Dathomir will finally appear in live action as Thrawn’s main stronghold.

Ahsoka Series Erases History By Retconning Disney’s First Star Wars Tale

Ahsoka overlooks Disney’s foundational Star Wars narrative.

As for the future ofStar Wars, Dathomir could very well become a major planet for multiple different projects as they continue to connect season by season. If Ahsoka and Sabine find their way back to the galaxy, helping the Republic track down Thrawn will be the top priority. With Thrawn heading for Dathomir, we may finally see the homeworld of Darth Maul in all its glory at last.

4How Powerful Can Sabine Become?

Another standout moment from the final episode was seeingSabine finally wield the force in all its glory, saving her and Ezra from the Night Troopers and sending him on his way back home. It took a while before she could become one with the force, but now that she has, just how much potential does the Mandalorian Sabine Wren have as a Jedi?

With Ahsoka as her master, whose master was none other than Anakin Skywalker, besides perhaps Luke, there isn’t anyone better to be trained in the ways of the force and lightsaber combat than Ahsoka Tano. Whether it was Peridia’s strong connection to the force or simply the life-or-death situation she was in, seeing Sabine finally use the force confidently was without a doubt her character-defining moment thus far.

3Will We Gain More Knowledge on the Origins of the Mortis Gods?

The Mortis Gods were first introduced into theStar Warsuniverse in the animated showThe Clone Wars, they are an immensely powerful family who embody the light (the Daughter), the dark (the Son), and balance in the force (the Father). While we knew that the family also known as ‘the ones’ reside in the ethereal realm of Mortis, hence their name, the origin of the gods was always a topic of great intrigue.

At the end of the last episode ofAhsoka,we see Baylan standing on the finger of the Father’s statue on Peridia, next to his two children. With their being statues of them on a planet in a distant galaxy hints that the true origins of the Mortis gods could be explored in coming projects, as potentially with that, more knowledge of the origins of the force itself.

Ahsoka already has strong connections with the Mortis Gods fromThe Clone Wars, making the show the ideal project to further explore the mysterious beings, giving us answers on why there are statues of the Mortis gods on Peridia.

2What Is Baylan’s Mission on Peridia?

As soon as we arrived on Peridia, Baylan made it clear to his apprentice Shin that something greater than both the Empire and the Jedi was calling to him on the planet, making us all theorize what it might be. Eventually leaving Shin to find whatever is calling to him, Baylan standing on the finger of the Father provides a much clearer idea of what Baylan is searching for.

Due to the strong connections between the Mortis Gods and the Force itself, Baylan is also more than familiar with the Force, making sense of why he feels such a strong presence on the planet. The Father’s finger seems to be pointing to something shining in the far distance, with Baylan looking in that direction as well, leading to many fan theories quickly coming to the surface. Whatever Baylan is being attracted to, it’s evident that it has something to do with the strong presence of the force on Peridia, possibly being called upon by the gods themselves.

Ahsoka: The Best New Characters in the Star Wars Show

There have been many returning characters in the new Disney+ Star Wars series, Ahsoka, but there have also been plenty of new faces.

One incredibly intriguing prospect is that it’s the Son who is calling to Baylan, with the Dark Jedi ending up representing the dark side, Ahsoka representing the light side (an idea made all the more possible with Morai being present in the episode), and Anakin becoming the Father, the role that the original Father wanted Anakin to take up inThe Clone Wars. Another more harrowing theory is that it’s the all-powerful, all-evil Abeloth (who was once also a Mortis God, the Mother) is the one whom Baylan will come across.

1How Will Ahsoka and Sabine Escape Mortis?

Now that Ahsoka and Sabine are still stuck in Peridia, seemingly with no way back home, the possibility of who might rescue them, if anyone even does, is the main burning question after the show’s finale. With Ezra now back home, this is again something that he’ll be fully focused on.

There are multiple possibilities for how they could return, with the first being they might be able to find more purrgil to travel back to the galaxy. Another much more intriguing possibility is that the planet of Peridia is actually Mortis, further explaining the statues of the Gods, meaning Ahsoka may have to reconnect with the ancient beings to find her and Sabine’s way home.

With so many potential routes the next season could take, with some even theorizing the Mandalorian himself could be involved with Ahsoka’s rescue, we can’t wait to see how the duo manage to return home and once again try to prevent Thrawn from becoming Heir to the Empire.
