The Russo Brothers have posted a new teaser for their upcoming Hall H appearance atSan Diego Comic-Con. The directing duo released a teaser earlier this week, which consisted of audio of them announcing the firstInfinity Warfootage to an enthusiastic crowd in 2017. However, this time, they chose to go a different route, and a lot Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are confused, and some are even angry, because it doesn’t have anything to do with Marvel Studios.
The latest teaser from theRusso Brothersis also just audio with 11 AM visually represented. 11 AM is when the Hall H panel takes place next Friday. When listening to the audio, MCU fans are treated to the sound of Donald Glover and Danny Pudi as Troy and Abed respectively from the hit TV seriesCommunity. The duo can be heard performing La Biblioteca rap, aka 101 Rap, which was all adlibbed. Series co-creator Dan Harmon saw Glover and Pudi do a rap like that at a press junket and had them incorporate their chemistry into the show.
What does La Biblioteca rap have to do with theMarvel Cinematic Universe? Fans started posting memes in the thread of the original post with unhappy Brie Larson faces and others are trying to find out what it means. “Y’all directing the nextPitch Perfectmovie?,” asked one fan while another said, “some people understand this,” and then had a Captain America meme finish with, “but we don’t.” Another MCU fan simply asked, “Are you guys high?” While there is a lot of confusion going on in the thread, there is a lot of hype too.
The Russo Brothers wrote forCommunityand fans of the cult-favorite show are hoping more episodes or even a movie will be announced at the Hall H panel next week. It seems like a bit of a long shot, but it could happen. However, it’s more than likely they’ll be celebrating the show’s tenth anniversary. Maybe some of the cast members will be with the Russos to celebrate, but they’re taking their Marvel Studios training with them and only teasing, not offering up any answers.
Another part of the celebration will have to be the overwhelming success ofInfinity WarandAvengers: Endgame. The Russo Brothers put a lot of work, effort, and time over the past few years to get those movies made, so a celebration is in order, especially asEndgamegets closer to becoming the highest grossing movie of all time. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige will be taking over Hall H next Saturday to discuss the future of the MCU and everybody is wondering what he is going to announce. Like the Russo Brothers panel, we’ll just have to wait and see. you’re able to check out theRusso Brothers' Twittertease for San Diego Comic-Con below.
