Margot Robbieis currently the golden girl of Hollywood, and just when it seems the internet could not love her anymore, a video from the premiere of last year’sAmsterdamhas resurfaced on Twitter to elevate her even higher. In taking the world by storm as the lead inBarbie, Margot Robbie has continued her impressive run of Hollywood performances that has won her millions of fans around the world. As tends to happen on these occasions, social media manages to dig up old videos, and in this particular one Robbie is seen pausing on the red carpet to have a full conversation in sign language with a fan.

A Margot Robbie fan account shared the video on their Twitter account, showing the actress passing off the items she is holding to speak through her hands with the fan after noticing them signing at her. Naturally, the touching moment has brought a whole new wave of love for the star from those who had either not seen the video before or forgotten about it. Check out the footage below.

The release of Barbie has added another huge hit to Robbie’s catalogue of cinema triumphs, which have previously included three outings as DC anti-hero Harley Quinn in a pair ofSuicide Squadmovies andBirds of Prey,The Wolf of Wall Street, and her Oscar nominated roles inI, TonyaandBombshellto name a few. Her fan base seems to grow more with every new movie, but her persona off-screen is every bit as popular as any of the characters she has portrayed.

Barbie Is Margot Robbie at the Top of Her Game.

It is hard to find a flaw in any of Margot Robbie’s performances, no matter what the subject matter or the genre. As Barbie, Robbiebrings the iconic Mattel doll to lifein a way that cycles through an immaculate “doll-like” innocence, a comedic flair and a surprisingly deep and emotional core many times over throughout the movie. For a character who is meant to be made of plastic, there is nothing inanimate about the performance, which along withRyan Gosling’s barnstorming portrayal of Ken, are a complete joy to witness.

For someone who has very little to prove, Robbie has managed to bring something new to the table inBarbie, and that has come as a huge shock to everyone who believed that her appearance was the main reason for the casting. With every other previous movie to involve Barbie being aimed squarely at children, the dominance of Barbie at the box office this past weekend is ever bit deserved for completely subverting all expectations of what the movie was going to be, and delivering a movie that adults can love every bit as much as the kids they take with them.

Barbie’sopening weekend has reached Marvel levels, with the film immediately jumping into the list of the top ten movies of the year, and it will be interesting to see how the movie fares this coming weekend. If it can avoid a large drop-off, then Margot Robbie could find herself grabbing the title of the highest grossing movie of 2023.
