Yesterday, we gave you the first look at IFC Films' upcoming horror remakeCabin Fever, with thefirst photothat featured a new version of The Bunny Man. Thankfully, horror fans don’t have to wait too long for the first footage, becauseBloody-Disgustingdebuted the trailer today. While none of the stars of the originalCabin Feverare present, this remake offers a new take on writer-directorEli Roth’s script.

Executive producerEli Rothpresents thisrebootof his instant classic gorefest, which features all new characters and all new kills. This story is familiar: fresh out of college, a group of five friends retreat to a remote cabin in the woods for one last week of partying- only to become snacks for a gruesome, flesh-eating virus. What’s surprising are the ingenious new deaths, which offer a fresh spin on ahorror-comedymilestone. The photo that debuted yesterday gave us our first look at The Bunny Man, although, much like the original film, we don’t know who actually plays him. It was never revealed who plays The Bunny man in the original, and while we see him again in the trailer, this footage also reveals thatEli Rothhimself has a speaking role in the remake.

Several of the iconicCabin Feverscenes are still intact in the reboot, such as the leg-shaving sequence and the presence of the previously-mentioned Bunny Man. However, while the story may be generally the same, there are a few new aspects, such as a deadly rabid dog and the fact that Giuseppe Andrews' Deputy Winston has been gender-swapped, with Louise Linton now taking over the role. Take a look at the first footage from director Travis Zariwny’sCabin Fever, before it arrives in theaters and on VOD formats February 12.
