‘Always be yourself. Unless you may be Batman.’ That’s the sage like wisdom dispensed by a new one sheet that just arrived today. The poster is celebrating Batman Day. And what better way to do that than with the Lego mini-fig of everyone’s favorite billionaire turned caped crusader, the Dark Knight?

In the irreverent spirit of fun that madeThe LEGO Moviea worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble, LEGOBatman, stars in his own big-screen adventure:The LEGO Batman Movie.  But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

The LEGO Batman Movieis directed by Chris McKay. He is best known for directing several fan-favorite episodes of the Adult Swim seriesRobot Chicken. He also served as a director on the animated showMoral Orel. He is working from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Jared Stern and John Whittington. This creative team is working with characters created by the great Bob Kane and Bill Finger forDC Comics.

Will Arnett returns to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, aka The Dark Knight, the iconic character he first voiced inThe Lego Movie. He is joined by an all-star ensemble of voice talent. Playing Robin is Michael Cera. Zach Galifianakis is the latest actor to take on the role of The Joker. Rounding out the cast areRosario Dawsonas Batgirl and Ralph Fiennes as the ButlerAlfred Pennyworth. Music icon Mariah Carey will also voice a character in the movie, playing Mayor of Gotham Marion Grange.

The movieswings into theaterson June 30, 2025, and will provided some great Valentine’s Day counter programming as it goes up against the hugely anticipated R-rated sequelFifty Shades Darker.
