Netflixjust unleashed the newest trailer forDandadanSeason 2 out into the world and unveiled the new OP for theanime’s second season. First released last winter,DandadanSeason 1 was the smash hit of 2024. With just 12 episodes in its first season, theturnaround between Seasons 1 and 2 is very quick,as fans only have to wait a few short months before they return to Momo, Okarun, and Jiji’s wild adventure in the Evil Eye arc this summer. The newest trailer forDandadanSeason 2 shows off Jiji’s time as the Evil Eye spirit, some of the insane action the show’s return has in store for fans, and the OP that will carry Season 2 through to the end.

“This grudge will never be rid,” says a cursed Jiji at the start of the new trailer. The new promo forDandadanSeason 2 was shared on the official Netflix Anime X (formerly Twitter) account, and it reveals a lot about the show’s return. After being possessed by the Evil Eye spirit, which haunts his family home, Jiji turns against Momo and Okarun, who must use their powers to free their friend and exorcise the curse. Meanwhile, Turbo Granny attempts to manipulate Momo and Okarun into slaying Jiji.

The highlight of the new trailer is the incredible action. Science SARU returns to animate Season 2 and prove why they’re one of the best and most unique anime studios around. The battle between Jiji and Okarun is shown off in the trailer, and the action looks smooth and fluid, carrying on theinsane quality from Season 1’s various fights and chases.The trailer also shows off another major threat for Momo and Okarun to defeat after the freeing Jiji: the Tsuchinoko, a.k.a. the Great Serpent legend.

‘Dandadan’ Season 2 Trailer Reveals the New OP

AskDandadanfans what the best parts of Season 1 were, and you’ll get varying responses, from the animation to the action, the humor, and the character dynamics. But one aspect every fan will bring up is the show’s iconic Season 1 OP: “Otonoke,” by Creepy Nuts. The song became a pop culture sensation, which was aided by the show’s incredible opening credits sequence.

While Season 2’s opening credits remain a mystery, the latest trailer revealed the OP that will be blasted through our TVs throughout the second season. “On The Way,” by AiNA is Season 2’s official OP. Only a glimpse of the track has been revealed in the trailer, but it will have to fight hard to be a better OP than “Otonoke” in the eyes of fans.
