It’s not so much “okey dokie,” as it is “oh my god, help, she’s trying to kill me!” inFalloutstarElla Purnell’s new series,Sweetpea. After the first trailer intrigued audiences with a glimpse at this dark comedy,Sky and Starz have finally given the show an official release date, and it’s arriving much sooner than you may have expected. Also giving the actress a chance to perform in her natural English accent,Sweetpeafollows Rhiannon (Purnell), an often ignored woman with a failing relationship who finds unexpected delight in murder. The six-episode series, adapted from the novel by C.J. Skuse, sees Rhiannon desperately trying to hide her bloody secret from her boyfriend and colleagues.

Revealed in a new trailer,Sweetpeawill release on Starz (US) and Sky (UK) on October 10.Set to La Roux’s anthem, “In For The Kill,” the new trailer unveils Rhiannon’s list of targets as sheplots her revengeagainst those who’ve ignored and wronged her for too long. Also working as an Editorial Assistant at a local newspaper, and often overlooked by her boss, Rhiannon capitalizes on her murderous hobby, getting the “scoop” on a local serial killer terrorizing the streets.Check out the new trailer below:

The series is directed by Ella Jones, and written by Krissie Ducker, Kristie Swain, and Laura Jayne Tunbridge. Alongside Ella Purnell,Sweetpeaalso stars: Jon Pointing, Nicôle Lecky, Calam Lynch, Leah Harvey, Dustin Demri-Burns, and Jeremy Swift. The official synopsis reads:

“Rhiannon Lewis (Purnell) doesn’t make much of an impression — people walk past her in the street without a second glance. She’s continually overlooked for a promotion at work, the guy she likes won’t commit, and her dad is really, really sick. Then everything in her life turns upside down. Rhiannon is pushed over the edge and loses control. Suddenly the wallflower is gone, and in its place is a young woman capable of anything…Rhiannon’s life transforms as she steps into a new, intoxicating power, but can she keep her killer secret?”
