Deadpool 3is potentially going to be one of the biggest Marvel movies in terms of bringing together the old 20thCentury Fox X-Men movies and the new MCU world via Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Naturally, beingan X-Men characterhimself, there have been plenty of connections between Deadpool and the X-Men over the decades in comic book form and some of those have been seen in previous Deadpool movies through characters like Colossus, Juggernaut and more.Deadpool 3is now reportedly about to bring together more than ever before, with new rumors suggesting many old X-Men stars returning along with two very prominent villains.
Of course, for now everything that we hear aboutDeadpool 3is to be taken as nothing more than rumors, but that doesn’t mean that fans are not already building their hopes on many of these pieces of speculation being true. While that kind of thing has led toplenty of disappointment with movieslikeDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the latest rumors around the Merc with a Mouth’s arrival in the MCU have sparked more wild fan theories that we still have to wait a long while to confirm or debunk.

The new rumors have been shared many times online since a tweet fromCanWeGetSomeToastsuggested that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be joined in the movie by his old co-stars Halle Berry, Famke Jensen and James Marsden reprising their X-Men characters of Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops respectively. This was also followed up with another rumor a big villain from the old Fox X-Men movies and a villain from the MCU will also be appearing in the movie, further cementing the bridge between old and new Marvel projects.

Are Deadpool 3 Rumors Just Setting Up Disappointment For Fans?
If there is one thing that has become clear over the last few years, rumors about Marvel movies and TV shows are very hit and miss in their accuracy. Working on the principle that making many leaps will always lead to some sticking the landing, there have already beendozens of theoriesand rumors about who may or many not be turning up in the new Deadpool movie and by probability alone, some of it could well be true. However, those expecting every rumor to be true are really just setting themselves up for the same kind of disappointment that has plagued the MCU’s Phase 4.
Over the last several years fans have built upthe arrival of Mephistoin numerous Marvel projects, only to not see the MCU demon appear. Similarly, the multiverse has still to deliver anywhere near the amount of crossovers and cameos that have been rumored to be coming since the first season ofLoki. So far, onlySpider-Man: No Way Homehas really met with fan expectations, whileDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessplayed with variants of the same characters but didn’t open up the multiverse quite in the way it was expected to.
Of course, much of this will all change by the time the MCU arrives atSecret Wars, but that is still a few years away. In the meantime, it is probably best to hold all rumors at arms length until they are confirmed one way or the other.
