WithDoctor Strangehitting theaters exactly three weeks from today, thisMarvel Phase 3adventure is shaping up to be another huge hit for the studio. Today we have new details about the two post-credit scenes that fans will get to see in theaters starting November 4. Be warned, there will be SPOILERS below forDoctor Strange, so read on at your own risk.
As per usual,Doctor Strangewill feature two post-credit scenes, a mid-credits scene and an end-credits scene, which set up some intriguing developments in the MCU, according to this new report atScreen Crush.

The mid-credits scene features none other than the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) himself. By the end of the movie, Stephen Strange has devoted himself to eradicating mystical threats on Earth, which leads the Sorcerer Supreme to bring Thor to hisSanctum Sanctorum, to discuss Thor’s nefarious brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Thor reveals that he needs his brother to find their father Odin (Anthony Hopkins), which leads the doctor to strike a deal with the Asgardian. Strange will agree to find Odin and Loki, if they agree to leave Earth, go back to Asgard, and never come back, to which Thor agrees. This scene explains why set photos surfaced featuring bothThor and Lokiin New York City a few months ago. One of the photos featured Thor holding a card that read 177A Bleecker St., which, in the Marvel Comics is the address ofDoctor Strange. We have also seen additional New York photos that showAnthony Hopkins' Odin dressed as a disheveled bum.
There had previously been rumors that Odin had fled Asgard for Earth, dressed as a hobo, warning Earthlings about the impending apocalypse, and the set photos certainly seemed to prove this rumor true, sinceAnthony Hopkinswas dressed as a bum. We don’t know if this post-credits scene means thatBenedict Cumberbatchwill have a cameo inThor: Ragnarok, but it seems possible.
As for the end credits scene, it features an unnamed character played byBenjamin Brattand a villanous turn by an otherwise heroic character. Here is how the the scene is described: ‘There’s an earlier scene in Doctor Strange where we meet a character played by Benjamin Bratt - he’s not a superhero, but he did use the mystical arts to heal his paralysis. In the post-credits scene, we see Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) return to Bratt, where he rips out and absorbs his mystical powers. “There are too many sorcerers,” he says. Mordo spends much of the film as Strange’s ally and a devout student of The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), but he’s clearly furious that Strange was named Sorcerer Supreme. That envy and resentment leads Mordo to becoming evil in the film’s post-credits scene, but it’s unclear when we’ll see him again - could be a Doctor Strange sequel, or maybe he’ll align himself with other Marvel villains (Cate Blanchett’s Hela, or Thanos, perhaps?) in another upcoming film.’ It isn’t known if there are plans to integrate the villainous Baron Mordo into any future Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Given his resentment towardsDoctor Strange, it’s possible he could seek out other-worldly villains like Loki or even Hela (Cate Blanchett), but that’s all speculation for now.
The Sorcerer Supreme has already been confirmed to return inAvengers: Infinity War, so perhaps Mordo could return to challengeDoctor Strangein this ensemble movie.
