Jurassic World Rebirthhas just been released and has proven to be aroaring success at the box office, over 30 years after therelease of the original. At the time of its release in 1993,Jurassic Parkquickly became the highest-grossing movie of all time, a record it held onto until 1997’sTitanic. The effects were groundbreaking, the story was captivating and compelling, and the acting was top-notch. Since then, there have been afurther 6 movies, bringing the series’ total worldwide box office earnings to over $6.5 billion, making it one of the highest-grossing movie franchises of all time.
Jurassic World Rebirth
When talking about the major villains of the series, one might immediately think of the ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex inJurassic Park, the packs of man-eating Velociraptors, or the deadly hybrid Indominus Rex. Here, though, we’re focusing on the human antagonists who are often overshadowed by the spectacle of the dinosaurs, despite being the true catalysts of the chaos through their greed, arrogance, and reckless pursuit of control over nature.
11Gunnar Eversol
‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ (2018)
Portrayed by Toby Jones, Gunnar Eversol serves as a secondary antagonist inFallen Kingdom, who works with Eli Mills to sell the rescued dinosaurs from Isla Nublar to the highest bidders during illegal auctions.
Like Many of the Franchise’s Villains, Eversol Is Driven by Greed
Sniveling, opportunistic, and selfish, Eversol cares not where these deadly creatures end up or for what nefarious purposes they serve. Like many of the franchise’s villains, Eversol’s greed is ultimately his downfall — he is killed by the Indoraptor, one of the very dinosaurs he wishes to sell for personal gain.
‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’ Is Barreling Toward a Disappointing Franchise First at the Box Office
While the past three ‘Jurassic World’ films have grossed $1 billion worldwide, the latest film might not rule the summer box office.
10Ken Wheatley
Ken Wheatley is a heartless mercenary who was in command of the rescue operation of the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar, with a strange and macabre obsession with collecting teeth from the dinosaurs captured by his team. His true colors gradually begin to show as he exhibits increasingly troubling behavior. Openly misogynistic, he butts heads with Zia Rodriguez and later not only shows no concern over the death of one of his own men who was attacked by a dinosaur, but also tranquilizes Owen and leaves him behind to die after securing a raptor.
Ken Wheatley Has a Disturbing Obsession
After kicking up a fuss at the illegal auction and demanding more money, he discovers the existence of the incredible hybrid Indoraptor. Wheatley is overcome with the overwhelming need to remove a tooth from the deadly beast to add to his collection. Underestimating the dinosaur’s strength, he is killed by the Indoraptor after the tranquilizers wear off far quicker than he had anticipated.
9Vic Hoskins
‘Jurassic World’ (2015)
Head of Jurassic World’s private security force, Vic Hoskins saw great potential for the dinosaurs in the park as instruments of war. He struck a deal with Dr. Henry Wu to weaponize Jurassic World’s latest attraction —the ferocious Indominus Rex— and instructed staff to train the velociraptors to become weapons of war.
Vic Intended to Weaponize the Dinosaurs
The Indominus Rex proved to be more deadly than Vic could have ever imagined, and his plans backfired when it escaped and killed all his helicopter crew, resulting in the release of the winged dinosaurs from the Jurassic World Aviary, who proceeded to wreak havoc on Main Street. His plans to use the raptors against the hybrid beast also proved futile when it applied its intelligence and dominance and became their alpha.
Seeing everything through the lens of warfare, Vic failed to understand that wild animals cannot be controlled and only respect those they trust — and this would be his downfall. Vic met his demise at the claws of one of the very raptors he intended to control, after failing to connect with it in the same way as its trainer, sealing his fate in a final, brutal lesson in nature’s defiance.

8Rainn Delacourt
‘Jurassic World Dominion’ (2022)
Introduced inDominion, Rainn Delacourt is a ruthless poacher who works for Soyona Santos. Determined and unhinged, Delacourt is willing to use any means necessary to track down the dinosaurs he’s after, with no regard for those around him.
Rainn Delacourt Meets a Grisly Demise
In sharp contrast to the movie’s protagonists, Delacourt is driven by profit and control and sees no future in trying to find a balance between dinosaurs and humans. Ultimately, though, he falls victim to the very creatures he’s hunting, underscoring the franchise’s central theme that humans will never be able to exert full control over nature and the ancient predators that inhabited it.
7Martin Krebs
‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ (2025)
Released publicly on July 2,Jurassic World Rebirthhas continued the franchise’s legacy as a cinematic powerhouse, already grossing over $640 million worldwide. The movie introduces a new villain in Martin Krebs, who initially presents himself as a well-meaning representative for Parker-Genix Pharmaceutical Engineering, claiming that with the DNA of the world’s largest dinosaurs, he can cure heart disease.
A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
It soon becomes apparent that, like so many others on this list, Krebs is consumed by greed, control, and corporate domination. He intends to exploit the dinosaurs for military, pharmaceutical, and commercial profit, giving Parker-Genix a monopolistic grip on next-generation engineering — regardless of the safety and well-being of those around him.
The ‘Jurassic’ Franchise Is Immune To Bad Reviews, and the New Sequel Proves It
The Dino films just keep making money.
6Dennis Nedry
‘Jurassic Park’ (1993)
Dennis was a down-on-his-luck employee of John Hammond who had been experiencing financial difficulties. He decides to take a bribe from a rival science firm to commit industrial espionage inJurassic Parkand smuggle out some dinosaur embryos to give to his contact. to do so, however, he must deactivate the security system in the park, initiating the catalyst for the catastrophic events that followed.
The Original ‘Jurassic Park’ Human Villain Meets a Satisfying End
Dennis is a boorish, smug character who is instantly dislikable, but to the glee of millions of moviegoers across the globe, his greed and reckless behavior cost him the ultimate price. In one of the movie’s most memorable scenes, Dennis ismauled to death by a Dilophosaurusmoments after it sprays venom in his face.
Actor Wayne Knight perfectly captures the character’s mix of sleazy arrogance and comic incompetence and was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Saturn Award for his performance.

5Peter Ludlow
‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ (1997)
Following the Isla Nublar incident, John Hammond is removed from the board, and InGen is on the verge of bankruptcy. Peter Ludlow, Hammond’s nephew, steps up as the new CEO and has plans to capture and bring the surviving dinosaurs to a new park in San Diego. Driven by greed and ego, Peter Ludlow has no regard for human or dinosaur well-being.
Peter Ludlow Quickly Makes an Enemy of a Fan Favorite
Jeff Goldblum’squirky yet heroic Dr. Ian Malcolmstood out as a firm fan favorite in the original movie. Towards the start ofThe Lost World, Peter Ludlow quickly makes an enemy of Malcolm, painting him as insane and discrediting his claims regarding the Isla Nublar incident. He then proceeds to exhibit little to no compassion for the human lives lost due to his reckless pursuit, nor for the well-being of the dinosaurs, which he sees as mere property of InGen.
Ludlow’s greedy incompetence results in the adult T. rex rampaging through San Diego. Ian Malcolm lures it—and its captured offspring—back to the ship. Once aboard, Ludlow is tricked into entering the cargo hold, where the injured baby rex is waiting. The adult T. rex breaks Ludlow’s leg to incapacitate him, then leaves him to be killed by the juvenile.

4Dr. Henry Wu
The ‘Jurassic World’ Movies
After appearing briefly in the originalJurassic Parkmovie, Dr. Henry Wu becomes a more prominent character inJurassic Worldand its sequelThe Fallen Kingdom. It’s here that the extent of his villainous behavior becomes apparent. He is a man with no moral compass to speak of, showing little empathy and consistently placing science, ego, and corporate interests above human (and animal) safety.
Dr. Henry Wu’s Actions Cost Countless Lives
One of InGen’s leading scientists, Wu, conspiring with Vic Hoskins, deliberately splices dangerous traits to create deadly hybrid dinosaurs designed for potential military use. As a result, dozens of lives are lost at the hands of his creations.
Undeterred by the consequences of his actions inJurassic World, he continues his unethical experiments inFallen Kingdom, creating the Indoraptor—a new weaponized hybrid even more unstable and dangerous than the last. His questionable ethics are further exposed when it is revealed he has been working for Eli Mills to auction off dinosaurs to arms dealers.

Dr. Henry Wu could have potentially slotted into this list’s top spot had it not been for his redemption arc inDominion, in which he finally takes accountability, acknowledges the harm his creations have caused, and works to find a solution to stop the locust plague before it causes irreparable damage to the world’s food supply.
3Eli Mills
Played by Rafe Spall, Eli Mills is the most despicable villain inFallen Kingdom. Not only did it come to light that he had backed the unethical creation of the hybrid dinosaur Indoraptor for military purposes, but he also secretly sought to save the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar in order to sell them to the highest bidders for various nefarious purposes.
Eli Mills is Cunning, Calculated, and Morally Corrupt
Bringing a sly, somewhat slick charm to the character, Spall masterfully portrays a ruthlessly ambitious man bereft of morals. His plans are thwarted, however, by members of the Dinosaur Protection Group, who free the dinosaurs. Mills himself is later killed by the franchise’s greatest anti-hero dinosaur—Rexy—in a fantastic throwback to the original movie.
2Soyona Santos
Soyona Santos is the leader of the illegal dinosaur smuggling group based in Malta and a dinosaur breeder. She is a powerful, elite criminal who takes on jobs for larger organizations such as Biosyn, hiring lower-ranked criminals like Rainn Delacourt.
One of the Franchise’s More Intriguing Villains
Soyona is more than mere muscle for hire or a money-driven madwoman—she has a deep understanding of and interest in the dinosaurs she smuggles and breeds. This is evident in how she trained a vicious pack of Atrociraptors to kill on demand through the use of a laser pen. A formidable enemy to Owen and his team, Soyona is eventually captured by authorities, putting an end to her role in the dinosaur trafficking operation.
