Out of all of the 22 epicAvengers: Infinity Warcharacter posters released today, Marvel fans are stuck on the one that features Captain America’s backside. Marvel Studiosreleased these one-sheets this afternoon, with many of the actors from the movie sharing them on social media. Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland were the first to share theirInfinity Warposters, but it was the Captain America poster that has gained the most attention and for once it doesn’t have to do with his beard or his new shield.
In the newInfinity Warcharacter poster withChris Evans' Captain America, he’s posed with his back to the camera and many have taken notice to Cap’s buns and the interesting placement of theAvengers"A" logo. It didn’t take long for Twitter to explode with Marvel fans taking notice of the butt. One Twitter user said, “well hello Captain Assmerica,” while another user couldn’t get over the fact that they gave Chris Evans the “butt pose.” Another user said.
“Of Course Captain America’s butt has to be on the poster. The sexualization of ourstar-spangled herohas become outright disgusting… lmfao who am I kidding my guy @ChrisEvans is killing that pose, I ain’t even mad.”
To make matters worse (or better, depending on your outlook), the Twitter algorithm shaves the newInfinity Warposter to a perfectly cropped image of Captain America’s butt. Marvel fans should be pumped up for the release of the highly anticipated movie, but now they’re taking a break to gaze upon Chris Evans' airbrushed tush in all of its glory. Marvel has been doing so well with the promotional campaign forInfinity War, so it was only a matter of time before a hiccup presented itself.
Infinity Waris now only a few weeks away and some lucky fans are going to be able to see some screenings that offer up a few scenes from the movie. There will not be a full screening until theworld premiere on April 23rd, so there should not be any spoilers until then. However, there could be some little spoilers that are leaked from the preview footage that will soon be screened. As an added measure to prevent leaks, the Russo Brothers took to social media to ask fans to please not spoil the movie for fans in the upcoming weeks.
The only thing that has been spoiled forInfinity Warnow is the look of Captain America’s butt and the perfectly placed “A” logo. Chris Evans has yet to comment on recent realization, but (no pun intended) one has to imagine that he’ll have apretty good sense of humorabout the whole thing. It should also be noted that Bucky’s butt is also prominently displayed, though theAvengerslogo isn’t placed in the same area. Out of the 22 posters, the two young ladies who get to show their backside this time around are Mantis and Okay, though they are somewhat more covered up.
