Amazon MGM is getting into the race car business thanks to news that a new drama seriescentered around the world of Formula 1 is being developed forPrime Video. The best part?Felicity Jonesis set to lead the cast of what’s being titledOne, which is the first-ever sanctioned scripted series by the FIA.
PerVariety, Jones is set to both lead and executive produceOne, which is said to"focus on a failing family-owned racing team, led by Jones’ character, as it contends with fierce personalities, ever-changing rivals and multi-million-dollar stakes.“It should be made clear that, as of right now, the F1 drama is currently in the developmental stage, and an official series orderhas yet to be made by Amazon, meaning that there is still a slight chance that things could fall apart. Jones will produce through her Piecrust Pictures label, while Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men) will serve as both writers and executive producers.

As for Jones? She remains one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood right now, with no less than three other projects on the go. She’s set to lead the 2025 dramaTrain Dreams, as well as another Prime Video outing: the Christmas comedyOh. What Fun., which has a stacked ensemble cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloë Grace Moretz, Dominic Sessa, Denis Leary, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria and Danielle Brooks. In addition to all that,Jones is also set to star in the period fantasy100 Nights a Hero, which comes by way of director Julia Jackman, and is based on the graphic novel of the same name penned by Isabel Greenberg.
