The iconic kaiju that isGodzillaemerges from the depths to cause terror once again in this newly released clip fromGodzilla Minus One. Coming courtesy of Fandango, the footage finds the beloved titan stalking a ship at sea and offers a glimpse at some of the incredible special effects that will be on display when the monster movie lands in December. “I watched Godzilla Minus One. Honestly, it was impressive. This is the most beautiful Godzilla movie in Godzilla’s history, and I believe it is director Takashi Yamazaki’s masterpiece. I immediately told an old friend of mine who is an advertising producer, and that’s the first time I’ve ever done that… I cried like never before.”

Toho has previously revealed that their plan is to create a new shared universe for theGodzillaseries similar to the hugely successful Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), withGodzilla Minus Oneexpected to be the beginning of this world-building.

Godzilla is all set to return alongside fellow monster icon King Kong inGodzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which is nowdue to crash into theaters in 2024.

The supporting cast includes Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes, Kaylee Hottle as Jia, with Fala Chen (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Alex Ferns (The Batman), and Rachel House (The Portable Door) set to join the franchise.
