Why Are We Still Waiting for ‘Hobbs & Shaw 2’?

Upon release,Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shawwas met with somewhat mixed reviews from critics, landing a score of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences, however, were far more enamored with the action movie spin-off, awardingHobbs & Shawa score of 88% on the Popcornmeter. Thanks to the combined efforts of Johnson and Statham,Hobbs & Shawalso proved to be a smash hit at the box office, grossing over $760 million worldwide. With all this in mind, why has it taken so long for a sequel?

Hopefully we won’t be left waiting too much longer, asHobbs & Shawwriter Chris Morgan recently revealedthat he is currently writing “aHobbs & Shawkind of script.” Which we can only assume means he’s bringing the titular duo back for another adventure.
