Because life is just cruel sometimes,Hobbs and Shawhas rarely been available to stream anywhere. But, thankfully, that’s all about to change, as the buddy action outing is all set to hit Netflix on July 09, 2025. Why Are We Still Waiting for ‘Hobbs & Shaw 2’?
Upon release,Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shawwas met with somewhat mixed reviews from critics, landing a score of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences, however, were far more enamored with the action movie spin-off, awardingHobbs & Shawa score of 88% on the Popcornmeter. Thanks to the combined efforts of Johnson and Statham,Hobbs & Shawalso proved to be a smash hit at the box office, grossing over $760 million worldwide. With all this in mind, why has it taken so long for a sequel?
Hopefully we won’t be left waiting too much longer, asHobbs & Shawwriter Chris Morgan recently revealedthat he is currently writing “aHobbs & Shawkind of script.” Which we can only assume means he’s bringing the titular duo back for another adventure.
“It’s under lock and key. I can say that I’m working on a Hobbs & Shaw kind of script. So we’ll see where that goes, but I’m excited about it.”
