House of the Dragonis returning for a second season at HBO, and it seems like the highly acclaimed spinoff ofGame of Thronesmay be changing some important details from the books, just as it did with the first installment of the show.
The latest project based on the world created by George R. R. Martin is one of the few big productions that has been able to keep shooting despite the current strikes at Hollywood, since most of the actors and staff that work on the series are from the UK and are not regulated by SAG-AFTRA. The show’s second season has been shooting since April, with the idea of making its way back to HBO next year and continue the story of the fall of the Targaryen dynasty.

The first batch of episodes already took several liberties when adapting the source material, the novelFire & Blood, but the new season could take this to a new level. A photopublished by Redanian Intelligencefrom the set ofHouse of the Dragonteases the return of wights. The picture shows a board with several photos of sample make up under the title “undead”, a terminology fans ofGame of Thronesare very familiar with.
In the case of wights appearing on the new season ofHouse of the Dragon, it will definitely mark a huge departure from the source material, maybe looking to connect way deeply with the original show and one of its main plots.
