I Saw the Light tells the story of the legendary country western singerHank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life. The beloved singer died at the age of 29 in 1953, but not before leaving a legacy of hit songs such as “Your Cheatin’ Heart”, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Hey Good Lookin.”
WhenTom Hiddlestonsigned on to star last June, it was revealed that the actor will actually be singingHank Williams' iconic songs himself. The producers struck a deal with Sony ATV for the rights to Hank Williams' entire music catalog for use in the film.
