AMC Interview with the Vampire Season 1

“A luxury apartment covering an entire single floor of a high rise. Where the Vampire has granted the interview with the man he once judged to be unworthy. And where the journalist Daniel Molloy has hustled, for a second shot at the interview that got away from him 40 years earlier…

Based on Anne Rice’s iconic novel, Interview with The Vampire follows Louis’ epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality, as told to the journalist Daniel Molloy. Chafing at the limitations of life as a black man in 1900’s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist Lestat’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion.

But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement. A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel.”

First-Look: Interview with the Vampire Season Two

The most significant sneak peek ofInterview with the Vampireseason two, since the first trailer dropped, was revealed during the NYCC. And whileThe Vampire Chronicles’footage gives fans a glimpse at the romance growing between Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson) and Armand (Zaman) the conversation takes an unwanted turn. Armand calls out Louis and Claudia’s (Hayles) ability to guard their thoughts and prevent other vampires from reading their minds.

Armand tries to salvage the intimate moment that seems to be slipping away. Louis listens intently as Armand tells him that he can help “hone” the ability to keep other vamps out of such private thoughts. Louis is intrigued, and that’s when Armand drops the biggest bomb presented in the new footage. Armand says, “Because I do believe I felt some trepidation when the name Lestat was uttered.”

Louis plays dumb and simply asks, “Who?”

Season one ended with Louis and Claudia (Bass) orchestrating and carrying out Lestat’s (Sam Reid) death, so they could escape his control. The new clip fromInterview with the Vampiredoesn’t show Lestat, but neither did the first trailer for season two. Fans only saw a portrait of Lestat hanging in the footage, as he is the co-founder of the Théâtre des Vampires. As enthusiasts of author Anne Rice’s 1976 novel already know, Lestat plays a much larger role in Paris than the character did inthe 1994 film starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
