Big news is on the horizon for fans ofInvincible. After creating the original comic book series with Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, Robert Kirkman developedInvinciblefor Prime Video as an adult animated series. The series premiered in March 2021, and after garnering high viewership and critical acclaim, it was given a renewal through season 3 on Prime Video.Animation takes time, however, and it has since been unclear as to when fans can expect to see new episodes ofInvincible. There seems to be good news on that front, as it was recently reported that a big update is coming soon on the bloody animated series. On New Year’s Day, the officialTwitterhandle forInvinciblefurther teased this big announcement with a post guaranteeing fans will get major news on season 2 this month. What day in particular remains a mystery, as they’re not telling just yet.“Almost as good as chicken pot pie night,” reads the post, using screenshots from the series to reflect the news. “Update will come sometime between Jan 2 and Jan 31!!!”

Invincible Will Have at Least Two More Seasons
By getting an early renewal for its third season as well, the bright side here is that the wait for season 3 after season 2 won’t feel quite so long. Production on the third season began immediately after season 2, as voice actor Khary Payton explained back in September 2022.
“Wefinished season 2. We’re on to season 3,” he said, noting it was still hard to say when the new episodes might arrive. “There was a glut of animation studios just trying to get so much done and literally it was like, projects sitting there with a backpack full of material. They’re like, ‘Anytime you’re ready.’ There was literally a line for the really great studios to just get this work out. So, I honestly can’t tell you. I’m dying. I am so glad they greenlit 2 and 3 at the same time, because that means when 3 comes out, it will feel like just next season, and not like, a lifetime. But, yeah, it’s gonna take a while, I wish I could say otherwise.”

Let’s hope that the new update we get onInvinciblewill be more fruitful in letting fans know when the show could end up arriving. In the meantime, you may check out the first season ofInvincibleon Prime Video.
