Jason Momoaslapped the bass and sang his heart out during the grand opening of The Rex Rooms in London. TheGame of Thronesstar is a co-owner of the venue with Jason McNab, an actor and filmmaker, and Marc Jacques Burton, a designer.
Momoa is a long-time music fan, particularly heavy metal. He’s been seen backstage – or on stage – with Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Anthrax, and others. In fact, when Pantera played at Wembley Arena, Momoa jumped on stage and sang with Pantera singer, Philip Anselmo.

Beloved Action Director Wants to Helm Jason Momoa’s Lobo Standalone Movie
The man behind ‘John Wick’ and ‘Deadpool 2’ is desperate to give Lobo his own movie in the DCU.
Jason Momoa is Staying Busy Playing Lobo in ‘Supergirl’
When it wasannouncedthat Momoa had been cast as popular DC anti-hero Lobo inSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, fans were excited. The formerAquamanstar has said that the character is his favorite, writing, “I always wanted to play Lobo, because I’m like, ‘Hello, he’s the perfect character.'”
Lobo was created by Roger Sliefer and Keith Giffen and first appeared inOmega Mennumber three in 1983. But it was when the comic miniseries,Lobo: The Last Czarnian, by Giffen, writer Alan Grant, and Simon Bisley (the definitive Lobo artist) debuted in 1990, followed by the violentLobo: Paramilitary Christmasone-shot in 1991, that helped shoot Lobo to fame.

This was a period when comic books got fairly dark and violent, and Wolverine, Lobo, the Punisher, and several others ruled the comic stands. Given the size and nature of Lobo, Momoa is a pitch-perfect casting.
Very little is known aboutSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, outside of it being the origin story of Kara Zor-El / Supergirl (played by Milly Alcock), which is what DCU co-chairman James Gunn wants. He clearly wants to maintain secrecy and doesn’t want anyone seeing Momoa as Lobo before an official image or teaser trailer, saying:

“It’s probably going to be a while to be frank with you, because it’s all in outer space. With ‘Superman,’ we were sort of forced because we knew we were going to shoot outside for weeks. Like, ‘Oh, let’s just throw something out there.’ So we did. But with Jason, I’m not sure. I don’t wanna be cocky, because you never know. It’s not a big… We’re not gonna have to go shoot outside in the middle of London for three weeks where they’re gonna be getting pictures of Lobo, so we have to release a picture earlier than we’d want to.”
In other Momoa news, the actor isrumored to return as Duncan Idaho inDune: Messiah. Fans of the Frank Herbert novels are excited about the possibility of the thirdDunefilm, including Idaho and where it will lead him. The character wasn’t in the second film because he died in the first film while saving Paul Atreides. So how will Idaho come back? In the books, the character is brought back to life as a ‘ghola,’ which is a sort of clone. This would allow him to continue in the greater Dune cinematic universe.
