James Gunn and Peter Safran are actively mapping out the next decade of their plans for theDCU, and with that comes rebooting several major characters. It’s already been confirmed that Henry Cavill will not be back as Superman with Gunn set to reimagine the Man of Steel with a younger actor. WithWonder Woman 3also getting shelved, leaving Gal Gadot’s future in that role uncertain, there’s been speculation that the entire Justice League will be rebooted.

That leads us to Aquaman. After it was announced Gunn and Safran would be steering the ship at DC Studios, Jason Momoa said he’d finally be taking on a dream project as a result. That has fueled theories he’d be playing Lobo in the DCU, as that’s a role he had previously campaigned for before getting cast as Aquaman. If it turns out that Momoa will also be wrapping up his run as Arthur Curry afterAquaman and the Lost Kingdom, then that would leave the door open for another actor to play the fishy superhero.

The Witcher Recasting

For the digital artisthorrific.heroics on Instagram, a good pick for the new Aquaman would beLiam Hemsworth. The artist has crafted up some digital artwork imagining how Hemsworth might appear in the role of Aquaman. He certainly has the look to pull it off, and as someone who has experience now in taking over the role of a major character following another popular actor’s portrayal, Hemsworth really may not be such a bad choice.

Liam Hemsworth Will Star in The Witcher

Hemsworth’s name has been in the press a lot lately after his casting for the upcoming fourth season ofThe Witcher. This summer, the third season will premiere on Netflix, bringing fans Henry Cavill’s final season in the role of Geralt. When the series was renewed for season 4, it was announced that Cavill was also making his exit from the role with Hemsworth filling in. The news was met with backlash, not so much because of Hemsworth personally, but because fans had been enjoying Cavill so much in the role as it was, making a casting seem unthinkable.

In any case, Hemsworth will clearly be coming intoThe Witcherwith a lot of pressure. We’ll see how it turns out when the fourth season arrives, though Hemsworth has expressed his excitement over coming into the role of Geralt.

“As aWitcherfan I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia," he said on Instagram. “Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character.”

He added, “I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping intoThe Witcherworld.”
