Fans ofPaul Bettany’s Vision should gear up for an excruciatingly long wait, asMarvel’sVision Queststarring the heroic android won’t hit Disney+ until 2026 — but in the meantime, Bettany is taking advantage of a recent interview to share a few crucial details about his upcoming series. The actor also offered his thoughts on the MCU’s most recent installment,Agatha All Along, which may hold some clues about what audiences can expect for the future of Vision.
Speaking toThe Hollywood Reporterat the premiere of his latest projectHere, Bettany revealed thatVision Questwill begin shooting sometime next year. He stated that “we’re cooking up something that I’m really excited about” but added jokingly that he couldn’t reveal more details because “snitches end up in ditches.“Marvel secrecy is no joke, after all.Vision Questalso plans to star James Spader in a reprisal of his role as Ultron— which may have something to do with the secrets that Bettany is holding back, as Ultron was supposedly destroyed by the Avengers in his debut film.

Paul Bettany Wants to Play Vision Forever
Paul has expressed his love for Vision and that he could play the Marvel character forever.
Vision has certainly been through a lot since his first appearance in the 2015 filmAvengers: Age of Ultron. Initially created by Ultron, Vision was a member of the Avengers until his death inAvengers:Infinity Warat the hands of Thanos. The showWandaVisionthen saw Vision’s return via a potent mix of magic and heartache, but left viewers on a cliffhanger as a rebuilt white version of Vision flies away after regaining his memories. Presumably, this is where Bettany’sVision Questwill pick back up, but it’s unclear what lies in store for the selfless synthetic humanoid, or how Ultron will fit back into the story.

Agatha All AlongMay Have Close Ties toVision Quest
Since both shows are considered spin-offs ofWandaVision, it’s safe to assume thatAgatha All Alongand the upcomingVision Questwill have some narrative crossovers — but there may be additional bridges between the two different stories.Agatha All Alongproducer Mary Livanosrecently revealed her involvement inVision Quest, stating that she was excited about joining the project. In turn, Bettany also mentioned his fondness forAgatha All Along, confessing that he plans to watch the show for a second time in order to prepare forVision Quest.
If Bettany has to take notes fromAgatha All Alongbefore working onVision Quest, the shows will probably be connected in more ways than one. For example,Agatha All Alonghas teased the possibility of Wanda Maximoff’s resurrection, which has the potential to impactVision Questin a big way given the intense emotional connection that once existed between Wanda and Vision. However, the final two episodes ofAgatha All Alongmay also decide to leave Wanda’s fate ambiguous in order to build suspense for the release ofVision Quest.

Agatha All Along
Starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular Marvel witch, Agatha All Along reveals how Scarlet Witch’s enemy broke Wanda Maximoff’s binding spell at the end of WandaVision. Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Emma Caulfield, and Ali Ahn join Hahn in the MCU Phase 5 spinoff series, released on Disney+.
