A new clip fromMighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Alwayshas been released, perIGN. Coming to Netflix on April 19, the movie brings back several of the cast members from the original seasons ofMighty Morphin Power Rangers. The new clip features Zack (Walter E. Jones), who was part of the original cast as the first Black Ranger, teaming up with Rocky (Steve Cardenas), who became the second Red Ranger starting in season 2. The scene is just as amusing as it is action-packed, thanks to Zack busting out his “Hip Hop Kido” movies, as you can see in the video below.
Other original stars from earlyMighty Morphin Power Rangersinclude Catherine Sutherland, the second Pink Ranger; Johnny Yong Bosch, the second Black Ranger; and Karan Ashley, the second Yellow Ranger. Charlie Kersh is introduced in a key role as Minh, the daughter of Trini, who wants vengeance following her mother’s demise. The cast also includes Barbara Goodson and Richard Steven Horvitz respectively as Rita Repulsa and Alpha-5.

Charlie Haskell (Power Rangers: S.P.D.) directs the feature film, with the script coming from Becca Barnes and Alwyn Dale (Power Rangers Dino Charge). Ron Wasserman, who did the music for the original TV seriesMighty Morphin Power Rangers, also returned to compose the music for the new special.

Old Stars Return in the New Power Rangers Special
While many originals are returning for the special, some fans will notice some missing favorites. Thuy Trang, the original Yellow Ranger, passed away in 2001. Green Ranger actor Jason David Frank passed away last year, though he had previously turned down the Netflix special, as he was focused on developing his own movieLegend of the White Dragon. Original Red Ranger Austin St. John was dealing with legal trouble last year which might suggest why he’s not involved with the film. Original Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson has also said she didn’t want to come out of acting retirement for what was offered, though she’sdeveloping her own separate comic book seriesabout the Power Rangers.
