USA Challenges Japan To a Giant Robot Duel

Just weeks after ABC brought back the robot fighting seriesBattleBots, robotics companyMegaBots Inc.has stepped things up a notch, issuing a challenge to Japanese company Suidobashi Heavy Industries to a giant robot duel. You see, Suidobashi Heavy Industries recently unveiled their 9,000-pound fighting robot dubbed the Kurata, but these two unnamed dudes from MegaBots, donning Aviator shades and American flags as capes, think their MegaBot Mark II can defeat it in battle. It’s unclear whether or not Suidobashi will accept the challenge, but even if they do, the fight won’t take place for another year. One can only hope that this does happen, on the 4th of July next year, giving Americans something else besides fireworks and hot-dog eaters to cheer for.

The sets range in price from $14.99 to $49.99, with figurines for characters such as Tyrion, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Grey Worm, Ghost, Rhaegal, an Unsullied, a Crow, a Wildling and a Wight running for $3.99 each. As you’re able to see in the photos above, the first set is the infamous Iron Throne room in King’s Landing, which includes a number of intricate accessories.
