The Gods of Guiltmay not be enough to slow down Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), particularly where more episodes of the hit legal drama are concerned in the near future. Yes,The Lincoln Lawyer’sshowrunners are already teasing a fourth season ahead of Season 3’s highly anticipated release onNetflix,which hasn’t even happened yet. And while co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez isn’t giving anything away about where the storyline will take the future of the show, she does concede the outcome will affect “the next book.” Rodriguez says in a new interview withTV Insider:
“We always set up sort of the next case of the season. This one won’t quite set up the next case, but it will definitely set up the next book.”
Co-showrunner Ted Humphrey was also quick to chime in, as he provided his own input onThe Lincoln Lawyermoving forward beyond the long-awaited new season, which finally drops on Netflix this Thursday after an excruciating wait.“I think we can say this season will definitely propel us in a very exciting and personal way into a Season 4,”Humphrey says. And the news just keeps getting better for those who want to keep loading up into the Lincoln.
For those diehards who can’t get enough of Mickey Haller’s uniquely brash brand of law and order, the two creatives behind the successful series even have“a sense of where we would go for a potential Season 5 and even 6 beyond that,”according to Humphrey. And Rodriguez adds without any shame:
“We hope to adapt all the books.”

There’s plenty to be excited about whereThe Lincoln Lawyeris concerned in Season 3. The long-awaited, upcoming episodes are based on author Michael Connelly’s 2013 novel,The Gods of Guilt,plusfan-favorite Andrea Freeman (Yaya DaCosta)is returning to Mickey Haller’s (Garcia-Rulfo) orbit for this go-round.

Co-showrunner Ted Humphrey was excited to think about the future possibilities, and he said during the same interview:
“And may even go from there [the existing books]. Michael [Connelly] hints that he’s potentially working on another Lincoln Lawyer book beyond the ones that have already been published. We don’t know that for sure. Obviously, if he is working on one, we are very eager to read it. We have plans internally for how to adapt versions of all the books […] If the audience keeps enjoying what we’re doing, then we will keep making the show.”
