‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ Is Tony Todd’s Final Movie Role

The teaser for tomorrow’s release of the trailer isn’t the only piece of news aboutFinal Destination: Bloodlinesthat broke today. Fans of the franchise were also able to get a first look at Tony Todd’s character from the upcoming movie.Bloodlinesisthe late actor’s final film role, as the horror icon passed away in November 2024 due to cancer complications.

Todd reprises his role as William Bludworth, the eerie owner of Bludworth Funeral Homes and the specialist who seems to know everything about the various ways death has to find its prey. There are rumors that the film will explore Bludworth’s character beyond what he usually does in the previous entries, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. In his previous appearances inFinal Destination, Final Destination 2, andFinal Destination 5(with a voice cameo inFinal Destination 3), Todd played more of a narrative device that mostly told the characters that they were facing something otherworldly. Unfortunately, his character was never expanded beyond cameo-like roles.
