When 20th Century Fox unveilsLoganin theaters next spring, it will mark the final timeHugh Jackmanplays the title character, a.k.a. Wolverine on the big screen. This adventure will also bring backPatrick StewartasProfessor X, who is said to be very sick in this new movie, and at times, he can’t even remember who Logan is. Today we have a photo that may offer a hint at Professor X’s fate in this finalWolverineadventure, along with another image of Wolverine himself.

The photo surfaced on the official wponxInstagram, which shows the limousine thatHugh Jackman’s Logan is driving. We saw this limousine in the very first set photos, with the actor working alongsideDafne Keenas Laura Kinney, a.k.a X-23. Those set photos revealed that the limousine had a slew of bullet holes in it. This latest photo shows that there are a concentration of bullet holes on the passenger side door, which may or may not be where Professor X was sitting.

We don’t have any confirmation that Professor X actually dies in this movie. We saw in thefirst trailerthat Professor X was actually sitting in that same seat where the bullet holes are, hinting that this iconic character may actually pass away. Given that this is the last Wolverine movie, it does make sense that Professor X may be killed off. Especially given the direction that 20th Century Fox is going with the franchise. Oh, and we see Logan and Laura burying someone in that first teaser. Hmm, wonder who that could be?

The studio is currently developingThe New Mutants, along with another unspecifiedX-Menmovie that is reportedly set in the 1990s, according to producerSimon Kinberg. The producer wouldn’t confirm any further details, and it’s possible that he could be referring toThe New Mutantsproject as the one set in the 1990s, but it wasn’t confirmed whenThe New Mutantsis set. It will follow the same progression of the prequel trilogy, withX-Men: First Classset in the 1960s,X-Men: Days of Future Pastset in the 1970s andX-Men: Apocalypseset in the 1980s.
