First airing back in 2021,Only Murders in the Buildingcenters on three strangers who slowly discover that they share an obsession with true crime. After staring a podcast together, they suddenly find themselves wrapped up in a true crime of their own. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth.
Starring Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage, a semi-retired actor who was once the star of a popular 1990s crime drama; Martin Short as Oliver Putnam, an ambitious Broadway director who has yet to find success on stage; and Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora, a young artist, the first two seasons ofOnly Murders in the Buildinghave delighted audiences thanks in large part to the main trio and their ability to solve murders while freaking out and causing chaos. In a delightful way, of course.

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Picks up Right Where Season 2 Left Off
The stage is set for the wildest season ofOnly Murders in the Buildingyet, as season three picks up following theshocking cliffhanger that ended season two. Martin Short’s struggling Broadway director Oliver Putnam has finally found fame, helming his own play. Unfortunately, happiness is short-lived as his main actor, Ben Glenroy, suddenly drops dead during the performance.
Only Murders in the Buildinghas been met with critical acclaim and awards aplenty since it first began, with the show receiving nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Steve Martin and Martin Short. Alongside the main trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez,Only Murders in the Buildinghas had more than its fair share of stellar guest stars, including the likes of Sting, Jane Lynch, Amy Schumer, Shirley MacLaine, Andrea Martin, Tina Fey, and Nathan Lane.
The third season will bring none other than multi–Academy Award winner and Hollywood icon Meryl Streep and beloved comedic actor Paul Rudd into the mix, with Streep playing Broadway star Loretta Durkin while Rudd portrays fellow Broadway actor Ben Glenroy.
Only Murders in the Buildingis scheduled to land on Hulu on July 12, 2025.
