Snoot Entertainment, the production company behindYou’re Next,The GuestandCharlie Kaufman’s upcoming animated filmAnomalisa, announced today that they have optioned Don Hertzfeldt’s script forAntarctica, an animated, genre-defying adventure which explores the world’s coldest continent. The film will also be directed by Hertzfeldt drawing on his signature visual style. Snoot Entertainment’s Keith Calder andJessica Calderwill produce along with Hertzfeldt. Hertzfeldt’s manager Jeremy Platt will executive-produce and Snoot’sRoxanne Benjaminwill co-produce. Hertzfeldt is premiering his new short filmWorld of Tomorrowduring the opening night of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival....

The Miz wasn’t kidding about his desire to play Johnny Cage inMortal Kombat 2, making it clear in a new video clip that getting the role would be “a dream come true.” When theMortal Kombatreboot was released in theaters and on HBO Max last month, the fan favorite fighter Johnny Cage was referenced, but he did not physically appear.
