More recently,Prince Harryand Meghan Markle revealed plenty of new family secrets on their Netflix docuseries,Harry & Meghan. However, the Duke of Sussex isn’t done speaking about the pair’s choice to step down as working royals. As reported byPeople, Prince Harry will talk about his and Markle’s struggles with the royal family in two upcoming television interviews with British news outlet ITV and CBS News'60 Minutes. In both interviews, the Duke of Sussex is expected to go into further detail about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s choice to leave the UK and the aftermath of their decision.
In a preview of his interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby, Prince Harry is heard saying, “It never needed to be this way.” The Duke of Sussex then reflects on “the leaking and the planting” of stories in the British press. He additionally states, “I want a family, not an institution.”

In another portion of the preview with the British news source, Prince Harry is heard revealing his thoughts on the royal family’s choices. He says, “they feel as though it is better to keep us somehow as the villains,” adding, “they have shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile.” Still, it’s not entirely clear in the previews who the prince is specifically referring to.

However, even amid the royal drama, Prince Harry makes it clear that he doesn’t want to become estranged from his family by saying, “But I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back.”
Then, in his upcoming interview with Anderson Cooper for60 Minutes, Prince Harry will go into further detail about his claims regarding the alleged “leakings” in the press and talk about how these negative stories have impacted him and his wife, Markle. The Duke of Sussex will also touch on why he chose to respond to these issues in a public manner.
“Every single time I tried to do it privately, there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife,” Harry states. “You know, the family motto is ‘never complain, never explain’ … it’s just a motto and it doesn’t really … hold.”
He continues, “Through leaks, they will speak or have a conversation with the correspondent, and that correspondent will literally be spoon-fed information and write the story, and at the bottom of it they will say they reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment, but the whole story is Buckingham Palace commenting.” Prince Harry added, “So when we’re being told for the last six years we can’t put a statement out to protect you, but you do it for other members of the family, there becomes a point when silence is betrayal.”
