As Fandango’s top advance ticket-seller of all time,The Force Awakenshas obliterated records, outselling all previous titles in the company’s 15-year history at the same point in the Fandango sales cycle. Abrams' vision of theStar Warsuniverse, while 86% say the film’s carefully-guarded story secrets have increased their interest. Additionally, 84% of respondents are particularly excited to see the newfemale leadsinStar Wars: The Force Awakens, while 82% are even more excited to seeStar Wars: The Force AwakensbecauseStar Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes BackandStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi’sLawrence Kasdanco-wrote the screenplay.
