Earlier today, Walt Disney Pictures announced that thefinal trailerforStar Wars: The Force Awakenswill debut during halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football on Monday, October 19. As it turns out, Canadian networkCTVhas revealed a brief trailer preview that aired this morning, after the official announcement was made. The footage shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) and the ball droid BB-8 watching a slew of TIE Fighters and other ships flying overhead.

Walt Disney Studios Canada also released a brief preview with more footage. Lucasfilm has also released theStar Wars: The Force Awakens posterworldwide earlier today. Following the trailer launch, tickets to the highly anticipated cinematic event will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold. In conjunction with theStar Wars: The Force Awakenstrailer debut, the Walt Disney Company is providing unprecedented company-wide on-air and social support (#TheForceAwakens) as well as tying in events and special activities for the day of the trailer release.

Tickets for the highly-anticipatedStar Wars: The Force Awakenswill also go on sale tomorrow for showings in theaters across the globe. LucasFilm also confirmed aStar WarsMarathon Event, where theaters will be playing all seven movies. TheStar WarsMarathon Event is the ultimate fan experience. All seven movies. One epic journey. Guests will see each of the six previously releasedStar Warsepisodes in digital 2D beginning withStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menaceand concluding with the opening ofStar Wars: The Force Awakensin 3D! It’s possible we could get our first glimpse of Rey flying the Millennium Falcon in thethird trailerforStar Wars: The Force Awakens, which arrives tomorrow. A newtrading cardimage that surfaced last week showed Rey sitting in the Millennium Falcon cockpit with Chewbacca, sparking rumors that she may actually be flying this iconic ship. There have also been rumors that Rey may be Han Solo’s daughter, especially since the character’s surname has yet to be revealed. DirectorJ.J. Abramshas already said there is a reason why we don’t know Rey and Finn’s last names yet, which will most likely be revealed whenStar Wars: The Force Awakenshits theaters on December 18.

Disney and LucasFilm still haven’t revealed a full synopsis forStar Wars: The Force Awakensyet, but producerKathleen Kennedyconfirmed earlier this month that this movie, and the sequelsStar Wars: Episode VIIIandStar Wars: Episode IXwill follow Luke Skywalker’s family. It isn’t known which of the new characters who will be introduced inStar Wars: The Force Awakensare part of Luke Skywalker’s family, but hopefully we’ll have more details soon. Since we still haven’t seen Luke Skywalker in any footage yet, many fans are hoping we get our first look at this beloved character in tomorrow’s trailer, but we’ll have to wait and see.
