TowardsThe Rise of Skywalker’s conclusion, Rey is battlingEmperor Palpatinewith Ben Solo. The Emperor quickly gains the upper hand after the two characters appear in the same place, allowing the villain to leach off of their Force energy. After Solo has been tossed down the pit, Rey is on the ground, seemingly defeated, which makes her look to the stars to see her friends getting defeated by the Final Order. It’s at this point that Rey starts to hear the voices of Jedi past.

Rey is coached to get back on her feet to take on Palpatine by the voices of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor, Alec Guinness), Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson), Yoda (Frank Oz), Olivia d’Abo as Luminara Unduli, Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) fromThe Clone Warsanimated series and Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) fromRebels. However, these aren’t the onlyStar Wars cameosthat can be heard. Sat Witwer is also listed, though it isn’t clear who he is playing as of this writing. Finally, there is one more voice that gets the final word.

When Rey hears, “bring balance to the Force,” it’s none other than Anakin Skywalker, voiced by Hayden Christensen.Star Warsfans were hoping that Christensen would have some kind of role inThe Rise of Skywalkerand while it’s only his voice, it’s still a big deal for hardcoreStar Warsfans. Christensen has been asked about coming back for the sequel trilogy since before it was officially announced, and the same can be said for Ewan McGregor and Samuel L. Jackson. Thankfully, they were all able to at the very least lend their voices to thefinal installment in the Star Wars trilogy.
