Speaking onSiriusXM’sThe Julia Cunningham Show,Dreyfuss shared with the host that she was 100% down to clown:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus:Oh, I’m so fine with jumping off a building. Although, you know, that’s Florence’s area right now, but what I’m saying is that there’s stuff I did physically that I was delighted to do. I guess, well, I shouldn’t say. Yeah.
Julia Cunningham:Oh my gosh and did you do the full throttle training and all that sort of stuff? Was that probably out of your comfort zone? Because that’s just not something we’re used to probably seeing you do on screen.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus:Yeah, that’s why one of the reasons, because I said to the guys, when I met with them, I said, you know, I really want to get into it. You know, I don’t want to just walk down a hallway and talk. I wanted to, you know, play. I want to get in the sandbox and play and I did to a certain extent in this film.

Julia Cunningham:Is that something that you’ll maybe like look more towards script-wise?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus:Well, here’s the thing. You know, what appealed to me about this before signing onto any of it was that it’s not like what I’ve done before.
Julia Cunningham:Totally.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus:So that was what was so intriguing in addition to trying to impress my sons, but for real, the idea of, you know, dipping my toe and maybe my whole foot into this world that you would not think of me for was alluring, you know, and I like the idea of, I mean, most actors do, I would think, like the idea of really trying something new and this definitely was that.
