Glen Powell Offers Promising Update on Long-Awaited Captain Planet Movie
Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell and producer Leonardo DiCaprio have been trying to make a Captain Planet movie since 2018.
Not only does he have a history with Batman, Powell also now has one with Superman. Revealing that he has never auditioned for the Man of Steel, the actor heaped praiseon David Corenswet, with whom Powell will star alongside in the upcoming disaster movieTwisters.
“But I was on the set of Twisters with [newly-anointed Clark Kent] David Corenswet when he got the call. He’s a hustler and he deserves it.”
Twistersfinds Powell starring opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos in the legacy sequel, which follows on from the 1996 movie,Twister. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung with a screenplay by Mark L. Smith from a story by Joseph Kosinski,Twistersis scheduled to be released in theaters on June 20, 2025.
