While there is still much we don’t know about the story, another cast member has been confirmed, withStanley Tuccirevealing he will be back as Joshua Joyce fromTransformers: Age of Extinction. It isn’t known if he has already filmed his role, but the actor confirmed the news during an appearance at the Deauville Film Festival in France over the weekend.
Varietyreports that the actor confirmed his return in Deauville, which he attended to receive a career tribute award. His character Joshua Joyce is the head of Kinetic Solutions Incorporated, who was trying to create a series of man-madeTransformersto defend America after the epic Battle of Chicago. He was able to produce the primary metals that allowed these robots to transform, dubbing the metal “transformium.”
Last week, one of the biggest rumors swirling aroundTransformers 5was confirmed, withLiam Garrigansigning on to playKing Arthurin this sequel. There had been rumors that the story followed Optimus Prime, returning to Earth to search for an artifact that had ties to both King Arthur and Merlin (Santiago Cabrera). We’re not sure how much of this story will be set in medieval times, but there were recent photos taken from the set on the Scottish island of Skye, that featured a number of actors in medieval armor while riding on horseback.
