Uma ThurmanandSamuel L. Jacksonhave joined the cast ofThe Kill Room, a “darkly comic” thriller about a hitman who accidentally becomes an art world sensation. The pair has previously co-starred inPulp Fiction(though they didn’t appear in any scenes together) andKill Bill: Volume 2, both films directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Nicol Paone (Funny or Die, Friendsgiving) will directThe Kill Roomfrom an original script by Jonathan Jacobson. The film is set to go on floors soon and will be shot in New Jersey and New York. The synopsis forThe Kill Room(viaTHR) reads: “The story follows a hitman, his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and a money-laundering scheme that accidentally turns the assassin into an overnight avant-garde sensation, one that forces her to play the art world against the underworld.” The main role has yet to be cast.

The Kill Roomwill be produced by Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, and Jon Keeyes through their Yale Productions banner. The producers released the following statement:

“The combination of Uma and Sam for this project is a dream come true. We are certain that Nicol is going to deliver a special film, and one that strikes the perfect balance between dark humor and edge-of-your-seat thrills.”

Director Nicol Paone also praisedThe Kill Room’sscript and expressed her excitement about working with Hollywood megastars Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson. “Getting to make The Kill Room — an already incredible script — with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson is beyond my wildest dreams. Every moment they’re onscreen, they are both enviable and eye-catching. I am eternally grateful to both of them for saying yes, and I am thrilled to bring this to life alongside Anne Clements and Yale Productions.”

The Kill Roomdoes not yet have a release date, but it is set to begin production soon and could hit screens as early as 2023. Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson will be collaborating after two decades, and presumably, fans will have high hopes forThe Kill Room. Hopefully, they will share more scenes than they did inKill Bill.
