Just a few months after it was announced thatTom Hollandis the newSpider-Man, the actor shared two videos from his family vacation, where he was testing out his Spidey skills before swinging into action. It was clear to many fans even then that this athletic and acrobatic young actor would be a great fit forMarvel’sSpider-Man, and that was before any training had began. While we still don’t know exactly when production will begin yet, the actor shared yet another video on hisInstagrampage, where he’s seen pulling off a number of impressive backflips. Here’s what he had to say on hisInstagrampage, thanking the U.K. companyGymAid LTDfor getting to use their equipment.
“Thank you @GymaidLtd and GJTC for an awesome day and thank you so much for the awesome Airtrack mat. I can’t wait to have a play. It was so good to be back in the gym so thank you thank you thank you for getting me started again!”
It doesn’t seem that this is part of his official training regiment forSpider-Man, since he appeared to just be visiting the GymAid facilities. Given his impressive display, it isn’t known how much training the young actor will actually need, but he will certainly have to undergo some sort of program to practice all of the Spidey moves he’ll be putting on display. The actor revealed just last month that he had an accident on theCaptain America: Civil Warset, where he fell over and “bashed his face” in front of two hundred crew members.
There still isn’t much we know aboutSpider-Man, except that it will takePeter Parkerback to high school, while skipping the origin story that has already been told twice on the big screen. There have been rumors thatSpider-Manwill be the first of three or four stand alone movies, each of which will take place during one year of high school, with Peter juggling his high school life with fighting crime throughout New York. Fans will get their first look at the new Peter Parker in next year’sCaptain America: Civil War, but he isn’t believed to have a large role in that massive superhero adventure.
Tom Hollandis still the only cast member confirmed for the reboot so far, but we reported several months ago thatMarisa TomeiisMarvel’s top choice to playAunt May. The actress' involvement has still not been confirmed yet. DirectorJon Wattsalso hinted that another beloved comic book character,Miles Moralesmay be popping up inSpider-Man. There have also been rumors that Kraven the Hunter will be the main villain, but it isn’t even known if the screenplay has been finished yet.

Sony and Marvel have already set a July 14, 2025 release date, but it isn’t quite clear when production may begin.
