Yesterday, we showed you new Instagram photos fromWonder WomanstarsGal GadotandConnie Nielsen, which hinted that Victoria’s Secret modelDoutzen Kroesand boxerAnn Wolfemay have been cast in mystery roles. While we still don’t have any confirmation about whether or not they have joined the cast,Connie Nielsenposted yet another photo yesterday, featuring a rather unique “co-star,” a tiger. Oddly enough this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a tiger being part of the movie.

Unfortunately,Connie Nielsendidn’t offer any details about her tiger co-star on her Instgram page, but last April, a report surfaced that formerWonder WomandirectorMichelle MacLarencouldn’t agree with Warner Bros. on several story points, one of which was that she wanted the title character to have atiger sidekick. The report surfaced just one day afterMichelle MacLarenleft the project due to creative differences, withPatty Jenkins(Monster) coming aboard to replace her just a few days later.

Wonder Woman

The original report about the tiger sidekick and the rest of the studio’s creative differences withMichelle MacLarenwas never confirmed, but most assumed that, if it were true, we surely wouldn’t be seeing a tiger inPatty Jenkins' version ofWonder Woman. Still, we don’t know for sure if the tiger shown inConnie Nielsen’s photo is in factDiana Prince’s sidekick, or how this powerful animal fits into the story.

Production started onWonder Womanback in November, with shooting now taking place in Italy, which producerDeborah Snyderrecently confirmed will be used to film the Themyscira scenes. It isn’t known exactly how much shooting is left onWonder Woman, but it’s also worth noting that filming recently began onJustice League Part 1, whichGal Gadotis certainly expected to be a part of. Warner Bros. recently movedWonder Womanup by a few weeks, from July 20, 2025 to June 09, 2025.

DCEU

Wonder Womanpreviously shot in London, where aWorld War Isetting was replicated, which ties into last month’sBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While searching through Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) files, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) came across a photo of Diana, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and several other characters in 1918, during World War I. Aside from WWI andThemyscira,Wonder Womanis also expected to be partially set in present day, to tie intoJustice League Part 1. While we wait for more details, take a look atConnie Nielsen’s tiger photo below, and chime in with any theories you might have on how this animal fits into the story.
