Shazam actorZachary Levihas joined the many celerities to share memories ofBetty Whitefollowing theGolden Girls’ actress’ deathjust over two weeks short of her 100th birthday. Taking to his Instagram account the DC star offered a heartfelt message about White, along with images of the actress in her younger years and the moment that the pair were caught in a steamy clinch at her 90th birthday celebration in 2012. Just like many, Levi has fond memories of the White and that is more than apparent in his post. He wrote:
“Betty made this world better. She made this business better. We should all take a page out of her book of life. Hell, we should take entire chapters. She was more than an icon. She was an example of how to carry yourself. How to treat others. How to make people laugh in the most kind and sincere ways. We all loved her for a reason. Because deep down, she’s an example of who we all want to be. A bright light of love, and hope and optimism. I only had the pleasure of crossing paths with her a few times in my life. But those few times made an incredible impact on my life and I will cherish them always. And while I never got an answer as to whether or not she’d make me the proud mother of her children, I will never forget her, or her kiss, as long as I live. Which, if I’m lucky, will be as long and fruitful as she did. Rest in love, Betty. No doubt heaven just got a helluva lot funnier, and classier, with your arrival.”
This answer he never received was from a moment at the TV special,Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl, during which Levi proposed marriage to White, saying “I would like to be the mother of your children.” He made a joke that she had to make a decision within half an hour or her was going to open the offer to Carol Burnett, which led to her telling him he didn’t have to worry and planting a kiss on him.
The post gained attention from many of Levi’s followers, which included actress Rachel Zegler, who commented, “First of all, cannot believe you made out w Betty white, second of all, [heart]”, and Ryan McPartlin, who worked with Levi onChuck, added, “She was the best of us!”
It was only last week that White shared her thoughts on another younger Hollywood actor, Ryan Reynolds, when she said she was convinced that the actor had a crush on her that has not gone away.Reynolds himself paid his own tribute to the starfollowing her passing, sharing on his own social media account that “the world looks different now. She was great at defying expectations. She managed to grow old and somehow not old enough. We’ll miss you, Betty. Now you know the secret.”
